Where Our Products Come From
Short version: everything in our store is a customer return or overstock item from a major U.S. retailer. We buy it in bulk, inspect and test it ourselves in our Portland warehouse, grade its condition, and sell it for about half of what it cost new.
Where it comes from
When a big retailer takes back a return or clears out unsold stock, it doesn't go back on their shelf. It gets sold by the pallet or the truckload through liquidation marketplaces or private brokers. That is where we buy: returns and overstock from warehouse clubs, online marketplaces, department stores and home-improvement chains. We are an independent store. We are not affiliated with or authorized by any of the retailers or brands whose products we carry, and all brand names belong to their owners.
What happens before it hits the floor
- Every item is opened, checked for completeness and, if it plugs in or turns on, tested.
- Anything we can't verify as genuine, complete and working doesn't get sold.
Why the prices are what they are
The crossed-out price on a tag is the retailer's regular price for that item. Ours is usually about half of it, because we bought the item as a return or closeout, not from a distributor. Nothing in the store sells at full retail, and that includes the small stuff.
Our guarantee
Every item we sell is genuine, and everything we sell is guaranteed for 6 months. We don't take change-of-mind returns, but if something is defective, incomplete or not as described, we will replace it, swap it or refund it. If you can't make the trip back, we'll mail the replacement part.
