SPAX T-STAR Cylindric head type fasteners with HCR coating are intended for connections in exterior composite deck board finishing applications when attaching to treated lumber joists - These fasteners are designed with an uppercut head for preventing mushrooming and also provide a clean finish into composite deck boards.
Cold-rolled carbon steel wire heat treated to Grade 5 durability and plated with an HCR (High Corrosion Resistance) double barrier coating - HCR is tested and recognized for use in ground contact pressure treated lumber for exterior, freshwater general construction applications (eg AWPA UC1-UC4A, UCFA).
The T-Star Cylindric Head HCR Composite Deck Screws are designed for flush mounting composite deck boards and creating a clean surface finish. • Undercut head prevents mushrooming and provides clean finish in composite deck boards • Reverse upper thread clears away excess material • Type 17 double slash point for fast start and helps prevent splitting
